“I am so glad I decided to sign up for this workshop. The days were filled with education, advice on so many topics, cute babies, and was so much fun. I did not want the weekend to end! I would have loved to spend more time with Janean and Alyisa, as well as the other attendees of the workshop.
I loved how supportive and helpful Janean and Alyisa were. Not only in the workshop, but the continued held, support and advice afterwards. It is great to be part of a group that is so supportive of other photographers in an industry that can be on the catty side at times. These ladies teach in a way that is easy to understand, give alternative approaches, and honestly love what they are doing. If you are on the fence, GO! I cannot put into words how much I learned in the class, and the added knowledge I have after it. It is an experience that you will love, you’ll meet amazing people, gain better confidence in your posing and photography, have a great time….. plus the AMAZING goodie bags!!”
“If anyone is on the fence about whether to sign up for a workshop or not DO IT! I can’t even begin to explain how incredibly beneficial it is! Janean and Alyisa are amazing photographers and incredible teachers! I learned so much invaluable information from their workshop! They were so patient with helping us all. Even after the workshop they made themselves available to us for questions – and I have been asking a ton!”
“I have worked with mentors and have done side by sides with other photographers, however, I found that this particular workshop proved to be my most valuable learning experience. In addition to being so hands on, both instructors were patient, polite/friendly and extremely knowledgable. They taught in a manner that allowed you to absorb and understand the content, despite the students having varying levels of photography experience. The class itself was very interactive and students were encouraged to ask questions on any gray areas they had. It was obvious that the instructors are passionate about photography and they want to share their knowledge\experience.
Personally, the tips that they offered me regarding perfecting my shots, as well as tweaking my business model, will make an immediate impact on my work. Lastly, I received a gift bag filled with adorable goodies that I am excited to use during upcoming shoots. I can’t say enough good things about Alyisa and Janean of Blissful Baby and highly recommend it to photographers of all levels of experience. Please feel to contact me about my experience, Nikki”
“I cannot say enough amazing things about the workshop I attended! Alyisa and Janean are amazing!!! I truly appreciate how supportive and helpful they were. They are truly passionate and awesome at what they do! I learned so much at this workshop and skills that I can use towards my business. Thank you again for being patient, supportive, and answering all my questions!”
“After I mentored with Aly, I was more confident in my ability to complete a newborn session. It was so helpful to see her interaction with the clients from start to finish. I learned many important aspects of newborn posing that I was not aware of. We also went over her marketing and business model at the end of the day. I went home with material to help me grow my business! Anytime I had questions, I was able to ask Aly for help. Overall, my experience was great and I am able to provide my clients with beautiful images.”
“I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to take a 1:1 mentoring with Alyisa. While I had dabbled in photography for a while I was taking that step to become a full time photographer and had decided after much soul searching that newborns would be my passion. I had big goals and dreams about the direction but felt I needed a little coaching and mentoring in different aspects of newborn photography. After following Alyisa and getting to know her through her Mom I never expected her to agree to a mentoring weekend with me. I’m so thankful that she did. She was very open with how she handles her clients from start to finish. We had two newborn models one in studio and one out door. She took the time to go over her whole session set up from how the studio is laid out, blanket and prop choices, flow posing and parent shots. She took the time to go over newborn safety, proper posing and lighting. Making sure that if I had any questions she answered them and allowed me to not only watch but to out into practice the things she was teaching me.
Fast forward one year later, I’ve opened the doors on my studio, modeled my business as a specialized newborn photographer and gained a lifelong friend and mentor from my experience. I never would have had the courage or the know how had I not taken the step to take a mentoring class with Alyisa. If you’re in the fence about a mentoring class I would recommend her hands down to anyone. Take it you won’t regret it.”
